An excellent method of Learning New Skills is to let someone else demonstrate ...
Whatever you decide you desire to do - Whether it's Learning New Skills, conducting a job search or starting a business etc., you'll ultimately benefit if you research and receive Inspiration from what others have done before you.
Just as there's growth to be gained from every experience, there's Inspiration to be gained from everyone with whom you come into contact.
* Newspapers and magazines
* Movies and videos
* Computers and the Internet
You are unique! One of a kind!
Do all you can to preserve your own ideas and beliefs!
But - also be open to what others can share with you. What you learn from others can help you understand something about your own life. Or even help you avoid mistakes they've made.
Lessons from every direction
Each of us experiences life in our own way(s).
Talk with others who have had the same or similar experience. See what you can learn from them.
People naturally feel different degrees of self-importance. And give their opinions and attitudes more importance than another person will. Still, most people don't have the want or need to make their view of the world be yours.
But - their experience and/or beliefs can challenge you and your opinions and attitudes.
You'll get by with a little help from your friends
Working with anotherís' beliefs is a challenge to you. To at least make an effort or to do or see things differently.
Working with another person, or information from another person, creates a beneficial friction.
* It can speed the process of self-knowledge
* We can't always see what others see clearly
* It's easy to "re-invent the wheel" when you work alone
* It's easy to make excuses to yourself that you can't make to another person
And you can find you have a whole new outlook on reality, and even do things differently, because of this information from another.
Your intent is not to conform. In fact, it's just the opposite.
Whenever you ask for anotherís experience, let it be your intent to get instruction and insight. Which you can use as Inspiration. And to challenge yourself so you'll be better able to clarify your own personal beliefs.
Your freedom as a person is a key element in understanding what you learn from others. There's much Inspiration to be gained from what others believe they have learned. But - it's much more important for you to come to your own conclusions.
"If you wish to know the road up the mountain, ask the person who goes back and forth". (Ancient sage, Zenrin)
Inspiration's like anything else you do - read a book, see a movie or hear a speech. You expose yourself to it, take what you can use and leave the rest.
