Learn how successful people consistently get success by being flexible!

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines Consistency as "agreement or harmony of parts" and "uniformity".

It defines Flexibility as being "readily changed or changing".

At first glance Consistency and Flexibility can seem to be contradictions of each other. And by definitions they are. But - see if you can wrap your mind around the idea that it's possible, (and profitable), to be consistently flexible.

How'd you do?

This is an idea you really need to understand and accept. It's a great "tool" you can use to help you get the success you desire. Whether you're conducting a job search, earning a living, etc. And especially when you're Learning New Skills.

Consistency is a very important discipline.

So is Flexibility, believe it or not.

And both of these aspects are very important to knowing success.

How being consistently flexible works

Whenever you embark on a new journey, you need to be consistent in your attitude and approach. On the flip side of this coin, you need to be flexible as well.

Because it's rare that what you desire will come about through your first effort. Or your second, or your third, or ... You get the picture.

Doing what it takes

It's on record that most of today's millionaires filed bankruptcy 3.8 times before knowing success.

Now Workplace Moxie isn't sharing this little tidbit with you so you'll go out and spend yourself into bankruptcy! Or even to suggest that you need to experience bankruptcy to know success -

What we are trying to show you is that these people understood that when things didn't go as well as they desired, it just meant they had to take another approach and try again.

They were consistently flexible.

They did whatever they had to do until they did get what they desired.

Here's a good story -

It was no secret that Thomas Edison had failed over a thousand times before he successfully invented the light bulb. (Even with all the information and ideas he got from Tesla ...)

A reporter asked Edison how he felt about having failed over a thousand times. Edison replied, "It just meant I was that many times closer to success"!

Bottom line ...

While it's very important you practice Consistency, it's also very important you hone your skills of Flexibility.

And when you really understand how both of these work, you'll know the importance of being consistently flexible!
