As you journey down the road of choosing your Job Market, you'll need to do alot of Research on Choosing an Industry, Choosing a Company and Government Work vs. the Private Sector, just to name a few aspects within the Job Market.

Draw up a list of the most important desires you're seeking from each aspect. These can include, but are not limited to, everything from environmental concerns and location to pay scale and benefits.
Once you've gotten this list together, you're ready to Research.
Now you just need to know where to Research this information. Thus, this page is about resources as well.

Do any of them work for the government? Do any of them work for or know of a company in the private sector that's in an industry/field that interests you?
You can learn a great deal from these people. It's information "from the horse's mouth", so to speak. They'll be able to share some "hands on" experience with you. Pay attention.
It's there you'll find everything in print about the different industries/fields and their companies/businesses.
Be sure to look for everything you can find in the media.
You'll want to know what the work world and the general public is saying about the industry/field and its company/business.
Also, there are usually a variety of audio cassettes and video cassettes created by the different industries/fields and their companies that can be very informative.
The Internet is a gold mine of up to the minute information.
It's also a source of bulletin boards, discussion groups and forums where you can read what others are saying about the Job Market. And you can even ask your own questions and get answers from a number of people, usually within just a few minutes, for free.
If you don't have a personal computer, you can use one at your library.
With all of the developments in technology, especially in communications, you have a world of resources with which to do your Research. So, have at it!
